A Collaboration of Third Grade Classes from Around the Globe

Welcome to my telecollaborative project called "Express Yourself!" This project will be taking place from October 15 through December 14, 2012. It will be a collaboration of four third grade classrooms from around the globe. This project aims to give students an opportunity to share their stories, experiences, thoughts and opinions on a variety of topics with other students. The hope is that they will become more culturally aware of similarities and differences and be able to compare and contrast their lives with the lives of others around the world. The teachers and students of this project will be utilizing this blog to communicate and collaborate. The classrooms will spend two weeks on each of the modules posted on the right column. The first week will be devoted to posting initial classroom responses and the second week will be for commenting and responding to each other’s posts. The goal is that the students will be able to express themselves through twenty-first century technology and learn about the diverse populations that make up the world we live in.
